Grimm's Hatchery [Game Download] Review

Grimms Hatchery is a great casual game that keeps me coming back. I enjoy games like Sims, Spore, Okami, Ratchet and Clank, which are great, but very involved, complex. Grimms has action and strategy; the levels consist of the farm areas where the animals are taken care of and eggs are collected, and the town areas - where eggs and animals are sold and supplies can be purchased. The object of the game is to earn 300,000 in 70 days in order to reclaim the throne from your brother, Lord Boras. The gameplay is pretty relaxed (less frantic than Farm Frenzy-type games, but much more action than my favorite, Fairy Godmother Tycoon). You can have as many or as few creatures as you'd like, but it takes a while to figure out how many you can keep feeding while still making money. I'd love to see a sequel to this game with slightly better graphics and humor.

Loved game on Windows not having luck in Vista - Mother of 2 - Oneonta, NY, USA
I purchased this game a couple of years ago and it worked excellent on our older computer running on Windows XP, loved the graphics and music, the levels are challenging and the various eggs and animals are fun to figure out which ones match up to get your new eggs and animals. My seven year old son also really enjoyed playing the game as well. I purchased a new computer with windows Vista and have been working with the company I purchased the game from (iwin) and it has been a couple of weeks and we are still having trouble getting the graphics to show up. Looks like XP works really well and I suggest you try this game but if you have Vista check into it before spending money you might not be able to use. I really hope they come out with a second version that will work on Vista. Have fun!!
