I'm not a big game player, but this game was in a package that came with my new computer. I needed some serious down time, so I played for one evening. (OK, it was several hours!) I was able to play this, watch TV, converse with friends, keep an eye on a toddler, and eat a slice of pizza without missing a beat. Yep, it's that simple.br /br /I do believe that if Virtual Family was all that I was doing, I would have quit after 30 minutes or so. The big plus is that it goes in "real time." That's also the big problem if you are looking for a bit more excitement -- more happening. In essence, Virtual Family was fun while it lasted.br /br /However, as my friends suggested, I'm moving on to a game with richer play experience. But make no mistake, this is a really fun and relaxing game that is perfect for all ages. There's nothing offensive here, and it is tremendously cute!

Buy the Sims instead - B. Smart - Oklahoma
If you like this type of game, save your money and get the Sims instead. This game kept me entertained for about 2 weeks. Then I realized there's really nothing more to do once you get all the goals accomplished. You can play the Sims for years and still have fun and it still stays exciting.
