Roller Coaster Tycoon (Jewel Case) Review
Before purchasing RollerCoaster Tycoon for myself I decided to borrow it from a friend - just to be sure it was something I would enjoy. I personally enjoy games that provide a challenge without being over-the-top/insanely difficult. And, I have to say that this game fit the bill, and from day one I just couldn't get enough of it!br /br /In RollerCoaster Tycoon your job is to create the "ultimate" theme park - a place where everyone wants to go to have fun, relax, and spend all that money that's been burning a hole in their pocket (smile). You do this by:br /br /*Choosing (or creating for yourself) which rides, eating establishments, souveneir stalls to purchase, as well as where to place them how much to charge your customers for each.br /br /*Determining how much to charge for entry into your park. This will increase over time, as you build more rides such for your customers to enjoy.br /br /*Ensuring that you hire enough workers (handymen maintenance crews) to keep your park clean provide quick maintenance on your rides. If your park becomes dirty rides are down too long, you lose lots of current as well as potential customers until you get the problem fixed. br /br /*Determining the "right" amount of money to spend on research marketing - as the more you spend on research, the faster new rides stalls become available to you.br /br /*Paying attention to what customers are thinking how happy (or unhappy) they are. They'll let you know if prices are too high or the park is getting dirty, so be sure to check-in with them regularly.br /br /*Making the surroundings nice to look at by purchasing placing such things as benches, fountains, statues, etc... Also, you want to be sure to purchase plenty of trash cans so your customers have somewhere to dump their trash other than on the ground.br /br /*Checking-in to see the popularity of your rides, as this will change over time. If something is no longer popular you can always lower to the price to see if that helps, or get rid of it so that you can put something better in its place.br /br /In this game there are several different levels (or parks) to play, each with its' own challenges. Although I tend to play until I beat the challenge then move on, I have friends who continue to play, making up their own increasing challenges along the way. If you do the latter, this game could last you a VERY LONG time indeed!br /br /Overall, I think RollerCoaster Tycoon is a great game for older children adults alike! Not only is it great fun to play, but it teaches you (and/or your child) some of the most important factors of business, such as always paying attention to customer wants needs the types of products you're offering; the importance of marketing research, how interest builds up when you borrow money, etc... br /br /If you're new to "Tycoon"-type games (or even if you're not), you might want to try something like "Fairy Godmother Tycoon" first. This is another awesome game I found that helped me to get my feet wet with this genre of games.br /br /

I ordered the game from super liquidator and it doesn't work... it wont even fully install on my computer and then I can't uninstall it, then it causes my computer to freeze[and there is nothing wrong with my laptop] its set up just for gaming. I would not order this game from them. br /br /I used to own this game and it was fantastic, definitely my favorite computer game, to bad I moved and misplaced the disc.

Bought this for my daughter who plays it for hours, but once I tried it I couldnt stop. Its not the same old thing over and over. New places, new rides, new setups. It can be a very addicting game. Easy learning curve.
